As for me Atari 2600’s E.T. is not all that bad of a game as everyone puts it to be.(Though it is not exactly a good game either) Just read the instruction manuel and it will tell you how to rise out of those dang pits.
Worst game for 2600 and worst game ever would be Sssnake (a very lame Centpede clone). Anyone who knows how to download emulators and their ROMs should check it out. It might guarantee that you’ll lose interest in seconds. Sssnake sssucks!!!!!!!!!!
And on down the line NES’s Jaws is my first game of the Nintendo age that really sucks.
Next is Advanced Dungeons And Dragons: Heroes Of The Lance With the worst control and hit detection in any game I’ve ever played. My musclebound warrior with his broad sword kept getting his butt kicked by some scantly clad midget.
I nearly wanted to smash my NES system then chunk it into the tv screen thus, impending a lifetime ban of videogenes from my parents >:o !!!!!!!!!!
LoL im not sure if it qualifies as the worst videogame experience i’ve ever had but custards revenge on the atari 2600, Porno with pixels would have been a better title. JAWS i remember playing that, gettin that cool little yellow sub. MAG MAX for the NES is probably the worst gaming experience for me, i sold my beloved bases loaded for it, its 3 repeating levels and your big supposedly bad ass robot walks around with something that looks like a vaccuum cleaner earning a spot for my controller in the afterlife.
The entire .Hack series, for just being rubbish. Bad game mechanics, extremely dull combat model, looks awful outside of the cutscenes, very repetative. Interesting idea though mixing media.
pretty much every mission is impossible becuase you have to run through a horibly scripted mission that if you did anyone of them out of order, you wouldn’t pass the mission.
I was playing Resident Evil 2 (Claire A scenario) and had gotten to the final boss without saving the game. (It would have been impossible to save anyway, seeing how I was playing the game on my campus PS1 store display.) Anyway, my health was at Yellow status - “I’m still in good shape,” I thought to myself.
Boy, was I wrong.
Not long after that, the final boss did its leaping grab-and-bite attack, which did enough damage to kill me and thus dashing my dreams of beating RE2 in a single playthrough without saving…
The worst part was that I had attracted a bunch of observers, and when I died, they went nuts as well. Looks like I wasn’t the only one to see if RE2 could’ve been cleared in one shot!
I know many people will disagree with me, but my worst gaming experience is Final Fantasy XII. I tried the Demo that came with Dragon Quest VIII and I did not like it. Usually I’m a Final Fantasy fan, but the game play was definatly not a strong point in my favor, for a prequel to FF Tactics on the PSX, and the battle systeme…well let’s just say, if you enjoy FFXI’s Battle systeme you’ll enjoy the twelveth.
ROBOTECH INVASION. The single worst game of 2004. Broken online. Lousy voice acting. Abysmal new Characters. A plot written by 9 year olds. The took everything that was Cool and exciting about ROBOTECH The New Generation (Cot Bernard, Dust Ayres, Corg Sera, Sue grahm the red snakes) and sucked it out of it to make the most bland obscenely unplayable first person shooter ever.
I’d have to go with Superman 64, that’s a popular one that appears on the “Worst Games” lists.
Then there’s the original NES Superman, which was flat out bizarre.
I think I get so disappointed in these games because its frickin Superman - you would think there’d be some quality programming behind it. And they’re always a letdown.
I actually did like the Death and Return of Superman for the Super No-friend-o, and the Superman game for PS2 was all right. They just never captured the any of the “magic.”
My hopes are really high again for Superman Returns, but I’m trying to stay realistic.
Robotech Battlecry was the complete worse gaming experience for me. I have never eve rin my life been so disappointed on Robotech. The game is not even worthy of the name Robotech. I mean the gunpod sounds like a car alarm, and not at all like the real sound from the series.
Robotech just aint what it used to be anymore.
