what’s the advantage as opposed to buying a US one? I’d be more willing to get the US one at a retailer (when they become readily available in 6 months or so) for the warranty and support.  This also said it wouldn’t play PS2 games or regular DVD’s.

Plus the price is a bit steep. Well, steeper than the US price anyway.  (ebay excluded)

Some Jackass in J and L gamestore downtown manhattan was trying to sell me a Jap 60 gig for $1350   I told him to go do a goat.  This was launch day mind you.  Since every friday Best buy is repeating the handing out ticket process to early bids, and I have to freaking work, In a saturday morning craze I bought one on Ebay for the low price of $1000,  I mean Im going to chip this thing and copy the games, so I figure Ill make my money back.  Anyway this is the only way Id get a ps3 before 2007.  I mean Gamestop tried to sell me a 20 gig on launch day, but who the hell wants a 20 gig.  They suck.  no Wi fi.  F that.  Im seriously boycotting Gamestop for all future purchases after they head faked me on oct 9 with the preorder process.  They sent me no alert email.
