I think Crystal Shard was being sarcastic.  And even if he wasn’t, and he really DID watch the video, and he really IS a non-human life-form (or droid) bent on guilting us…he still has a point.  Maybe Dr. Hawking’s solution seems so far-fetched and disappointing because he’s smart enough to know that each new generation of humans on the planet will probably only serve to drive it further towards its own demise.

I hold no sarcasm in my contempt for the disgusting, filthy human. Dr. Hawking is right on par with what I’ve been saying for years. And now I have a super-intelligent source saying I’m right. What do YOU people have? You should have listened to the smart types instead of Hollywood long ago. But noooooooooo. Jennifer’s current boyfriend is so much more important than stopping our atmosphere from slowly decaying.

He’s one of the only humans I’d bother saving if his life was in danger. Not only is he brilliant, and has a lack of tact (bonus), but he’s mostly machine. Less human, more machine, still smart.
