Do you laugh at Gundam Wing fans?

When Gundam Wing was popular I loved getting into “competitive discussions” with their fans on how Robotech is so much better.Robotech is special because you feel emotion for the characters and Gundam Wing doesnt have that.Then you mention Robotech was the pioneer and Gundam is a rip off and they get all defensive.Of course the only lame reply is “Robotech Sucks”.

...enjoy each for what it is?  I love Robotech, but that doesn’t mean I dislike Gundam.  Each has its merits.

I also like Robotech. I prefer Robotech, but I think that Wing is a better series, in terms of production values. RT has better storyline and mecha designs. Both have interesting and compelling characters.

There are sooo many Gundams series…some are good, some are ok. I like the one with the Peacecratfs in it. It was drawn well. I wish someone would have kept to making Robotech like they have Gundam…I guess they have in Japan with all the Macross stuff. But that doesn’t count, right? ^_^

I like both Robotech and Gundam Wing, I manly prefer Robotech, but my girlfriend and I both like to watch Gundam Wing together.

Robotech is by far my favourite though I’ve seen very limited amounts of Gundam Wing.

However Gundam did come first, in the late 70’s I think. In fact in my Macross Ultimate Collection DVD set booklet it notes that a creator Kawamori Shoji, character designer Mikimoto Haruhiko and writer Donogi Hiroshi founded a Gundam fan club while at Keio University.

Actually, there were about 4 series/products BEFORE Macross 7:
Macross DYRL
Macross Flashback 2012
Macross II
Macross Plus

As for Gumdam Wing fans,.. I only Laugh at them,.. the same reason why I laughh at Gundam SEED fans,.. they think that those shows are the ultimate,.. But a lot of fans Never Bothered to watch ANY of the ohter Gundam Franchise Shows. Its kind of like saying Robotech Macross is the coolest show ever,.. but never watching the other two Robotech Sagas. Or only seeing One Lord of the Rings Movie. I honestly thought Gundam F-91 was the best until I saw Gundam 08th Ms Team.

I didn’t say i do not watch Gundam series but i think Robotech is more exciting to watch.

Personally i think Rtech is better.  I like most of the Gundam series, but Wing and Seed have rubbed me the wrong way a lil (though i haven’t seen all of Seed).
