Ever seen the new version of the Galactica in Scifi-tv ( serie )? IT SUCKS!
I’ve got the DVD version of the old version of the Galactica ( also Final Fantasy , Cowboy Bebop , Neon Evagelion(full) ,Voltron),so I watch it again and again and it gives me much more fun than that Serie!?

The new Battlestar Galactic was great.  I have the original series as well.  I prefer to view them as two seperate shows.  The new one is awsome when viewed on its own.  When seen through eyes of the original show, yes it does not live up.  Some times we need to step back and see if things can stand on their own.

The producers using always the same trick ; take an old criteria ( star wars , xmen , galactica , etc…) , than decorate it with technical stuff ( fire effects , blowups , 3D based superious warmachines ) and a handsome actor.
But the only missing thing is FUN!The long talk scenes boring me..

..and the new BSG series you would notice that actually the new one takes place after the old one.

Cmdr Adama-Is Apollo from the original series
Cpt Apollo-the son of Cmdr Adama from the new series
LT. Starbuck-daughter of the original Starbuck
And so forth…

And Red Barion, they changed nearly all of teh characters, hell they even changed the cylons. I miss the old toaster bots that looked like they were about to fall apart at any second.

The New BSG veiwed from one who hasn’t seen the original-It was great. Too many talk scenes though

The new one viewed from on who has seen the original BSG (Me!!)- It was terrible.

Not a sequel that takes place later.  It’s a new version of the same story.  I thought it was fine, a little darker than the original, but fun none the less.  Considering how niche the original was, I’m surprised by all the backlash.  I almost feel like people are having pointed opinions about it for no other reason than to have a contrary (and therefore seemingly sophisticated and informed) opinion.  Just eat some popcorn and relax.

I didn’t catch too much of the original, but have seen a few eps.

I’ve noticed that thie new version is more scifi, intrige, and character, while the old one was more action.

But hey, that’s just me.

You have to look at the new and old BG as two different series.  I really like the new series though!

iv been watching battlestar galactica as long as i have been watching robotech.
everone keeps saying you shouldnt compair the new BSG to the original (original way beter with out a dought) and to just enjoy it for what it is. all i want to know is why cant we compair it to the original? after all it is based off the original, the story the charters everthing. (aside from the # of ships in the refuge fleet original 220 new somthing like 60) all i have to say is they messed up a good thing. there was no reson to make starbuck and boomer chiks. and what they did to COL tie thats just messed up….  i could go on for hours about how crappy it was but im sure you guys dont want to here that so i wont.

and acer they dint really take star wars and try to remake it for the 21st centry like they did with BSG. aside from when star wars first aired in the theater they had planned to one day do prequils to it. (hens the reson why the original star wars movie AKA “A New Hope” is labeled episode 4 unless you have a copy of the very original Video casset then thats not there).

The “new” one is a different series.
