They have deliberately allow the forums and this site to fall into decay. It’s all planned you see. So they (Hasbro, whatever big studio producing the films) can drop in with planned and calculated activity to claim they “saved” Robotech and this site from decay. The new plants are going to interject progressivism, leftism, social justice, and pronouns into Robotech and this fandom space. Enjoy this false illusion of a dead spell. Because an oncoming storm of DEI and ESG motivated shills/agitators/activists plan to infiltrate the Robotech Fandom. (see what happened to Star Wars, Star Trek, Tolkein with one.ring.net)
And after they have inserted all these activists into Robotech, the shill media (Mary Sue, HollyWeird Reporter, etc) machine will run articles like “How Black Lesbianism Saved Robotech.” “How a Beloved 80s FRanchise was revived thanks to Transgenders.”
I just want to know which of you sellout cucks is going to be quoted as saying, “Yes, Robotech was a dead brand. And its fans were so toxic and phobic and misogynistic and patriotic! I am so so so glad these deranged progressive leftists and their pronouns and climate alarmism and LBGTQ!@#$#$%@$^ revived Robotech.”
Shame on any of you who let these clown infest Robotech. Robotech was worth gatekeeping. Robotech WAS special. It will no longer be.
Expect a new, better Robotech soon. It will be more diverse and equitable. With more pronouns, many more pronouns and genders. And AOC and Stacey Abrams in the UN Spacey. And space lesbians.
Oh, you don’t want any of that because that would be stupid and ruin Robotech, like it did to Star Wars, Star Trek, Tolkein?
There are traitors and sell-outs here in the Robotech Fandom. They are going to subject long-time Robotech fans to forced progressive Marxism, many of us never asked for this treatment.
I have been lurking here since the late 90s. I never saw any one use pronouns. I never imagined any one would need to. I also saw a lot of people who flew the American flag, I saw people from all walks of life, men and women, who just loved Robotech. Everybody was always very welcoming, good spirited, and helpful. Do not listen to these “new” professional Robotech paid fans/shills/influencers who tell us that the Robotech fandom is not diverse, is too toxic, too un-inclusive. That is a LIE and we longtime Robotech fans know it! These new shill/fans/influencer plan to infest this fandom with progressive/far-left nonsense. They will come here and police our language, police our pronoun usage. So toxic and vile are these new fake Robotech fans/shills/influencers, don’t be suprised if they launch a campaign to smear and bully Reba West for some perceived offense she did not do (see what those awful fans did to Gina Carano!).
I am not over-reacting. I saw it happen to Star Wars. I can tell that Robotech is next.
Will we ever find out why Harmony Gold did this to Robotech? Imagine if the series never got cancelled. I know of nothing else that’s been so good and at the same time so wasted as Robotech.

Probably not. I think that HG has pretty much given up on this website.
The ongoing situations with the RLAM project…
The dispute in Japan over Macross…
Too much time has gone by, with little to show for it.
One of the worst things HG did besides cancel the novels was shutting down fan productions so we don’t even have that to watch. Fans were willing to do it even without a new series. If I worked for Harmony Gold, I probably would have suggested after Robotech got taken off Toonami to drop the Japanese licenses so we don’t have to police the fans anymore. “Oh are they making a series on Youtube? Not our problem. We’re working on a sequel that doesn’t use anything from Tatsunoko.”
Check this out. There’s this app called Moises on the iOS App Store and Google Play that applies effects to songs with 5 free each month. It can adjust the level of vocals and music. I might try the premium at some point to see if it has anything useful.
Lonely Soldier Boy: 0, 100, 75, 75
Look Up! The Sky Is Falling: 50, 100, 50, 0
It Don’t Get Any Better: 50, 100, 50, 0
Edit: The instrumental of Lonely Soldier Boy is in an episode. I forgot which one. 0, 100, 75, 100 is good too,
Use to be bustling with fans. Now I feel this isn’t right.

Harmony Gold did this. Robotech could have been so much more. Then when there was nothing going on, fans tried to make animations on their own and HG stopped them. There’s nothing to do, so everybody left.
I was watching this today. As always happens in these shows, in the middle of a recon mission, Bowie decides a mute enemy civilian is his girlfriend, kills a couple of her people in front of her, then runs after her like everything’s cool and he forgot to get her phone number.
Use to be bustling with fans. Now I feel this isn’t right.

Plain and simple:
Spammers took over.
But it was already on Death’s doorstep even before it went down.
There was some life when the revised site came back, but it died quickly. That’s when the spammer plague began.

Honestly, what happened to this website?
Use to be bustling with fans. Now I feel this isn’t right.

If this is the state of the Robotech fandom, then maybe it’s up to the fans to once again reignite the passion. I think the problem lies in the advent of social media. It really has divided peoples time to the point where there isn’t any constructive or critical thinking being discussed on the social media platforms.
I find the social media platforms to lack engagement in comparison to the traditional message boards that allows one’s thoughts to engage with others constructively. Social media tends to reduce conversations to mere meme’s and quick rants that seems to limit conversations and reduce engagement.
Honestly this is concerning not because it has affected the content that made these message boards once exciting, but because it shows how social media has slowly eroded a platform that allowed for constructive criticism and freedom of thought.
I’m also at fault because I too left this message board thinking social media would be ideal for my news and engagement for all things Robotech, but alas these social media sites tend to be not much more than glorified marketing tools that uses news bites and meme’s to be quickly glanced by its userbase.
They tend to overlook engagement because the very nature of social media limits true critical interaction.
Social media doesn’t have a way to separate communities except private groups with unnecessary moderation and strict rules, most of them are slow, where you’re not allowed to do anything but sell your collection or show it off. General conversation groups tend to be public, so you’re inviting all your family and friends and your boss to talk with you about Robotech, sending each post out to all of them like a blog. There’s no separation between blogging and discussion. That’s another reason why social media replacing forums is ridiculous.
