The fan art and fan fiction section of the [old version] of the site wasn’t that active prior to the relaunch.
Dissatisfaction about the delays and cancellation of projects (Shadow Rising, Academy), as well as the
rise of social media sites (IE: Facebook), drove many fans from this site. Plus the long running anxiety
of fans over the LAM (Live Action Movie) project, which still hasn’t moved out of ‘development hell’ in 12+ years,
as well as the ongoing feud between Bid West/Studio Nue and Tatsunoko, puts the future of Robotech in doubt
in the minds of many of the fans.
