I’ll believe it when I see it.  I’ve given up getting excited over new Robotech anything.

If it ain’t in the Robotech show itself… It didn’t neccessarily happen.

Thanks, Carl Macek, for introducing me to all these folks.  Even the ones who bug me.

It’s not that terribly uncommon in Hollywood for people to be attached to a project and then either move on or have a lesser involvement in the final result. It really happens a lot with a movie that’s been passed from one studio to another or from one group of producers to another.

I know, right?

I remember the excitement if The Shadow Chronicles.  After its release, the reaction was mixed.  I wasn’t too impressed.

The LAM has a chance to make amends.  Like someone said, above, I’ll believe it when I see it.  The teasers will be the first indication.

The final product will make or break.

Let’s see how this one goes.

Agreed.  This reminds me of when the Dragonball live action film was released…I was super stoked and ended up being disappointed.  I hope this film does not follow suit.

So, just saw the front page with the news of the Emerald City Comic Con panel. I’m really looking forward to hearing any news on the movie, any chance there will be video of the panel?

So I just came across this article:

http://comicbook.com/anime/2018/03/26/robotech-anime-live-action-wonder-woman-writer-tease/

Which highlights Fuch’s insta post regarding the Robotech LAM from only two days ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/BguRZjIHKf6/?taken-by=jasonfuchs

It looks like things are actually moving forward with this, and I’d be lying if I said I’m not starting to get excited…

It may be my youthful optimism, but I am too! If this movie is even slightly successful it will bring in so many new fans.

We’ll just have to see if anything develops, but I don’t have high hopes.

It’s looking more promising than ever, with the announcements of co producers etc according to HG’s twitter posts anyway. Those guys and gals aint working for free so it shows a level of seriousness on HG/Sony’s part in my opinion. Names like these aren’t cheap either, so I’m sure with Sony involved they have their eye on their BEP and ROI

I’m getting more and more confident about all of this.

I still have my doubts. The ‘800 Lb. Gorilla’ that is the Robotech LAM project has been dogging us for the last 10+ years now. We still don’t know what the plot/story is going to be, who’s going to star in it, and what era that the movie is going to be set in. Not to mention that the original timeline is now outdated.

For what’ll take to get really written, filmed, produced, cut etc; 2021 will be here and the whole thing will be moot. They had 10 years to make it, to rush it from 2017 to 2019- it’d probably be the same as Dragonball Evolution, especially given the liberty taken with the comics on the designs; God no! Stop this now.
