Hugely looking forward to this, and even more now, thanks to the prospect of getting subsequent books covering Southern Cross and The New Generation (plus The Sentinels, as that press-release seems to allude to?).
So just to clear things up, there are actually going to be FOUR Robotech art books. As mentioned in the newest RoboSkull cast and on Den of Geek, the fourth book will cover everything not related to the original three anime.
“So, potentially material from Shadow Chronicles, video games, RPGs, toy art etc. Whatever we can track down.”
I’m excited for this new artbook, but I’m REALLY excited about the Southern Cross one that will follow it.
Oh, man, same here—any new Southern Cross/Masters merchandise that we can have (especially relating to the actual animation itself), the better. And really hoping that that upcoming fourth book devotes some nice page-space to The Sentinels.
So, the release date was pushed back a couple of times. Amazon currently says December 19 but “temporarily out of stock”. Was it ever IN stock? Does it actually exist yet? Has anybody got a copy?
Found an error in the Destroid Monster entry, which repeats the information from the Destroid Defender entry. Correction in the second printing, perhaps?
I received my copy today.. It was a nice surprise.. I like the pre-production art from Battle Fortress Megaroad/Lode (pre-cursor to Macross) and the main reason I bought the book.. I haven’t gone through the entire the book yet. I read part of Macek’s essay on RT from Art 1..

Mine also lists the “Miss Macross Bauty Pageant Host.”
ACTUALLY A WHILE BACK. DID AN UNBOXING VIDEO ON FACEBOOK. ALL GOOD. ONLY THING IS THE STORYBOARDS AT THE END. WHY SO SMALL? LITTLE BIT ON EXTRA PAGES WITH A BIT MORE BIGGER STORYBOARD WOULD BE NICE.
Robotech Art 1-2-3, and my collection of 1st Ed & 2nd Ed Robotech RPG are way good enough for me. A sizeable OSM materials that I have also already satiated my needs on Robotech visual archive.
Hi, is there any news about the book? I am very interested in her! And if someone is waiting for her as I do, then I recommend looking at https://eduzaurus.com/free-essay-samples/mexican/ this site where you can find a lot of free information on a variety of topics.
I see that the Robotech Visual Archive: The Macross Saga book has a 1st and 2nd edition. These appear to have the same contents, and I wonder if anyone out there knows what, if any, the differences are between the editions? Are the any content changes or, maybe, is the 2nd edition of better or lesser quality overall?
