Ok, I have discovered at least one problem with the fan fic submission system, and possibly two. First, the system isn’t rewarding points for approved fiction. Second, I have seen a few posts in the forums about recently submitted fiction that I can’t find in the system. Here are my ideas:
1: Since the fan art section is still correctly awarding points, I will send you an email with an image file (point voucher) upon approval of your fiction. When you receive it, come back to the site and submit the image file to the fan art section. I will approve it and immediately delete it. That way you will get the 10 points you deserve. Make sure your email address in your profile is correct so I can send you the point voucher.
2: The fan fic section recently had some pretty significant problems, and while trying to fix it I may have accidentally deleted some submissions. If you submitted a story in the last two months and never got an email saying it was approved or denied, please submit it again.
Regarding fanfic submissions and even the site itself - would it be possible for the site to one day accept submissions in the form of video files? I think it would be really cool if it might one day be possible for fans to create and submit works that were videos. They would have to be vetted by staff of course, before they could be put up on the site.
I realize that such a feature upgrade would take some work, but it could be a nice way to enliven fan-created content for the site. The existing gallery forum was a total thrill for me when I first joined Robotech.com - I watched each and every animation there many times. But I think it would be nice if more content was possible through hosting of videos on the site, including fan-created videos.
i don’t pay attention on ranks (i’ve been Lieutenant already if not lost my first nickname “allye”...) so i don’t submit my works for points realy.. :rofl:
translating from russian to english is hard thing for me ((( i don’t know how long will it take.
i hope i will be able to see this site all the time i need for my funny work, no matter what will happen in reality ...
Unfortunately, there are no plans at present. However, I will keep lobbying Steve because the fan fiction was my favorite part of the site. It would help if people would comment on here so we can see how many want to have it back.
I would love to have it back. The fan fics were the only new material for long stretches of time. Some of them were pretty well done and I really enjoyed them. It kept my interest when nothing else was going on. I also enjoyed the fan art.
Since there are no plans to revive the fan fiction on this site I have “published” something on a wordpress site. Feel free to have a look and let me know what you think.
I’ll post more whether I get feedback or not, (I have this story mapped out well into the malcontent uprisings and the sentinels) but I might write/post faster if you folks like it.

Who thought living in a post-apocalyptic hell-scape could be so bad, but luckily our hero shows a some real agency here and things end up immeasurably better for her in the end, though she might not know it yet.
Chapter 7 of my fan fiction is up for anyone willing to take a look at it. Things finally start to get “Robotechy” after six previous chapters of character building.
