In a random twist of luck, the trajectory of the blast allowed Joe to land a mere three feet from the Healing Circle. After coming to and slowly crawling inside, he sprawls out while the Circle heals his wounds.
“Wasn’t a dare my Evil Lord, just a bad habit of letting my thoughts escape the confines of my mind. I meant no disrespect” Joe painfully replies, hoping Xake would dismiss it as such. “I hope, however you do allow me to reclaim my honor as a Finian and take vengeance against magalord1, since he in fact struck first without provocation.”
A few weeks later, after a long day of conference calls regarding various tweaks & improvements to his Saratoga design Maga prepares to retire for the night. Yawning, he changes into his Veritech PJ’s and exits the bathroom with a tired yawn before climbing into bed. With a contented sigh, Maga turns off the light and sinks into his pillow.
*Jack in the Box Melody begins to play*
“Huh??” Maga barely lets out before the spring release below the bed disengages, slamming Maga & bed into the steel ceiling repeatedly with tremendous force. Furthermore, the coil springs on the mattress had been replaced with spikes further adding to the pain factor. Walking into the room afterwards, Joe collects Maga’s bloodied remains and drags them into the Healing Circle.
As a further gesture of no further wish for hostility with either Maga or his allies, Joe leaves a case of Maga’s favorite beverage and a gift card for a free Limo ride and all-inclusive meal at Maga’s favorite fine-dining restaurant, including the expensive spirits and wines.
