First of I’d like to, of course, thank Mr. Frank Agrama, Mr. Kevin McKeever, and Mr. Tommy Yune for making the night possible for the fans. You gave us an opportunity to be part of a historic even for Robotech. Its rare that we, as fans, get the chance to be in the same room with so many key figures in the Robotech universe.
With the passing of Carl, so much of our Robotech history is gone and it’s times like these, where we get first hand stories from those involved, that we understand just how important a project like this is. Those of us who were there can now help to keep those stories, that would be lost to time, alive for future generations of Robotech fans.
It was an honor to hear Mr. Agrama’s personal stories and his view about the passion and dedication that Carl had for Robotech, after all aside from Svea, he knew him best.
Meeting Svea and having the opportunity to tell her thank you for their work on Robotech was an honor and a boy’s dream come true. I was never able to tell Carl thank you in person, he’d passed before I got to see him at the cons that year, but being able to speak with her and let her know how Robotech helped to influence my life was very special for me.
It was great getting to meet all the voice actors, some for the first time and others to catch up. You guys are icons and I thank you so very much for the time you took to talk with us.
I want to thank Memo for everything he did for me these two days, he really made this Texas boy feel welcomed and at home and I am grateful. Also a special thanks to Sasebonian, who really helped me out and hooked me up. Thanks man, I really do hope I will be able to return the favor.
Last and certainly not least, it was great to meet all the fans who came out. We share so much on the forums that it’s nice to finally meet face to face. Lancer, AutobotDan, TKanger1, fuzzy, Andrew, Mrclean, Brian, and so many others, you guys were great and you helped make the night something to remember.
I hope we can do this again. I won’t forget this for the rest of my life.
