Harmony Gold in association with the Rocky Mountain Animation Association are pleased to announce that the Robotech Convention Tour will be returning to Nan Desu Kan (NDK) in Denver, Colorado the weekend of September 9-11, 2011! For the past 14 years, NDK has served the Rocky Mountain anime community by providing a safe, friendly environment for people of all ages to enjoy Japanese animation and culture.

ROBOTECH GUESTS:

Tommy Yune - Director of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles
Steve Yun - writer of Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles
Kevin McKeever - Harmony Gold marketing coordinator

EVENT LOCATION:

Denver Marriott Tech Center
4900 S. Syracuse Street
Denver, Colorado 80237
Telephone: 303-779-1100
http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/dentc-denver-marriott-tech-center

PRE-REGISTRATION:

All pre-registration badges are for the full weekend. Full-weekend badge prices vary based on the date you register. Badges are their cheapest if you pre-register at NDK for the following year’s convention. Registering just after the convention is also very inexpensive. Waiting until the last minute (in this case, August 14) will still net you a healthy discount, but not as large of one. If you wait to register at the convention itself, you’ll have to pay full price.

The price to pre-register (before Aug. 14th) is $40 USD

You can pre-register for the convention at:

https://ndkdenver.org/registration/online

AT-THE-DOOR REGISTRATION:

Single-day badges may be purchased at the convention for a price of $30. They are not available for pre-registration.

MORE INFORMATION:

More information on the convention can be found at the Nan Desu Kan website.

We look forward to meeting all of fans from the Mile High City at NDK this September!

Nice to see you returning to Denver again!  I know that many fans up here would love to meet and speak with Richard Epcar again.  Could it be possible to schedule and appearance from him or any RT VA for that matter.  Once again, welcome back!

I’m seriously considering attending NDK.  I live in Albuquerque, NM, so it wouldn’t be that far to drive.  I love Anime Expo, but that’s an expensive trip.  NDK may end up replacing AX on my schedule this year.

It was a pleasure meeting all of the wonderful folks in Colorado!

FYI, I posted a post-con update about the A&E DVDs here: http://www.robotech.com/community/forum/read.php?id=2124628&forumid=31&pagenumber=7

As always, the Robotech-related panels were the stars of the con for me…going to dinner after the Saturday panel was a lot of fun…also, enjoyed being on the panel for the “Robot Rumble”...good times, indeed…

Now I know who you were!  Robot rumble is always fun, but I had a lot of fun at this one.

I will definitely be getting the A&E DVDs.  The work done on the Sentinels alone is worth getting it for.  For anyone who wasn’t there, these DVDs look incredible.  They really have cleaned it up and done a lot of work on it.  Like I said, I’m getting it, and I highly recommend it.

Yes, the A&E set looks like something I’m going to have to pick up.  Honestly, I’ve picked up Robotech in every format so far and this new set looks OUTSTANDING!!! For Sentinels alone, I will be buying this.

That said, it’s always good to see the fans at these cons. It’s good to put faces to the screen names. It’s also good to kind of geek out, too. Seifrietti Weisse, it was great meeting you. Zormaster, we really do need to keep in touch. Tommy, Steve and Kevin, thank you for coming to Denver again. It was a blast even with….elevator malfunctions.
