would you ever conider doing a web cast of your pannels so some of us that cant travel all that much (single dad of 4 here) can watch?
For the most part no. The conventions make a strong investment by having us at their shows. If we posted every panel we did online it would hurt the conventions and us in the long run.
Now I am working on getting one of the panels I did at NYAF up online soon.(its been classifed as an evergreen panel) I’ll let you know when that happens.
The 2009 Robotech Convention Tour article will go live and show up on the front page sometime on Friday December 19th. In the meantime you will start seeing threads for the conventions pop up here starting tomorrow. We will also be sending out the dates to a few Anime news websites as well. Please keep in mind that these dates that will be announced are only the first round. I hope to have more announcements in the coming weeks and months.
Once again its important that the Robotech Convention tour only goes to conventions it is invited to attend. I suggest you contact conventions like Anime USA, Katsucon and Otakon to let them know you want the tour to make a stop to get your business.
I saw NYCC listed, and even posted in its thread. But now I dont see it listed. The only NY date listed now is the Anime Con (which I’ll be attending as well). Now, I’ll be going to NYCC regardless of Robotech being there. But I’d like my top reason for going to be Robotech (as it usually is my #1).
Am I mistaken? Did I overlook it? Are you still coming to NYCC?
Due to a unforseen schedluing conflict we may not be able to attend the NYCC this year. Untill I know more I ask that you please hold off on buying your tickets for the time being.
I happen to be an Anime fan living in Montreal, where the convention known as “Otakuthon” takes place annually, so I emailed to the convention’s site requesting for the 2009 Robotech Convention Tour to drop by at the event as well as giving the convention’s runners the kev@robotech address to contact to discuss on the topic. Hopefully, the runners of Otakuthon will consider my request.
YES, PLEASE, Sakura-con in Seattle PLEASE. I have been a robotech fan since i first saw it on the TV. If the cast came to Seattle that would me SUPER AWSUME and i’d have to get my REF cosplay gear made ^_^ i am going to try and do a Cyclone “Saber” Armor costume.
PS: If anyone can help me in the Seattle Area get my costume designed, i would be very thankful.

I think a convention should be held in Cleveland Ohio, there is alot of Protoculture Addicts in this city…Why should Columbus get this honor, not meaning to be hateful but they always get some type of special events in there city…Give Cleveland A Chance To Shine Also.
