Prometheus, Daedalus, Odyssey, & Apollo are also major ancient Greek/Roman epics that most World Nations use as names for ‘prized’ ships (like flagships).
And besides, Macross named them before Robotech copied the names. ^_^
Oh, and its interesting to note that with the exception of “Enterprise”, the BC-303 series has continued to name its ships in order of the ARMD. :rofl:

If they really are going by the ARMD’s of Macross, then the Russian BC-303 would’ve been “Enterprise”, had it stayed as one of the american ships.

...Ofcourse, Shoji Kawamori DID get the inspiration for most of Macross from the American Military, so the names probably relate to either Carriers or Flagships of the American Forces.
