As much as I like Gloval, I’m getting really tired of this whole “Gloval vs. Leonard” mentality. Or more specifically the thought process that some (apparently most people in the Gloval group) that everyone in the D.O.L. hates Gloval and everyone in his group seems to hate Leonard.
I don’t know about all your feelings on it (other than Rhade, your opinion on Gloval is pretty clear ), its just really starting to get to me.
That and how CavScout seems to think that a debate started by a D.O.L. member about debating whether Gloval is a war criminal means exclusivly that the D.O.L. in full is attacking Gloval.
Personally I always believed that it would be unfair to compare Gloval to Leonard, as it was like a entirely different set of circumstances that each faced. So I’m getting real tired of the Gloval vs. Leonard sentiment.
Oh well, I’m going to bed, got to go to Aurora con tomorrow. Night all.
To me it seemed like Cav was trying to bait a little, so just ignore anything that looks like a dig or a crack at the DOL or any form of calling you guys Gloval basher. I’m sure it won’t happen, but if it does, just leave it and flag a Commander. I made a general, more neutral note on the topic itself.
So it’s understood… it IS CavScout’s personal beef against me. When I started the pro-Leonard thread, he insulted me and got warned by a MOD. Then a few pages later (after I refused to even acknowledge his posts) he did it again to someone anti-Leonad. This once again brought a MOD down on him. Now, he is at it again in the S&S section in my thread about Gloval. Thing is, he knows he can’t get to me, so he will go after anyone with DOL in their signature to try and get us going so he can turn to the mods and say “see…it’s the DOL again.” Don’t fall for it all. Let the MODs handle him. If he keeps up, Commander McHenry already promised him loss of posting privileges in the Leonard thread, so I doubt he’ll be doing it much longer.
...came to a battle of wits un-armed. I wouldn’t worry about him. As far as this whole “if you like Leonard-then-you-hate-Gloval” thing, that isn’t true. I have at times pointed out that Leonard isn’t as “huggable” or “lovable” as Gloval, but I like Gloval just fine.
I think the DoL should get its own smiley face, that would be awesome!
I think I just ran him out of the latest anti-Leonard thread in S&S. The guy likes to change the subject a lot and ignore points, but if you keep forcing him to confront the point rather then dodge it he folds pretty quickly.
well bears lost again but i knew that was going to happen and with this lose it brings my predictions to 3-0 which has made me $300 richer so i can buy gas and fooooood, the good food not MDs 1 dollar menu since its cheaper than a can of soup >.<
Just ‘cuz one guy can’t handle losing debates, we get locked? I’m guilty of calling the pogues a pogue, but if they got thin skin and can’t take needling, then they can’t debate the DOL! :bonk:

*yawn* I’ve been up since 5:00 am because I’ve got what should be a 40 minute drive, but thanks to traffic >:o , is like a fracken 2:00 hour drive!!!! >:o
So, here I am, a good 40 minutes before class starts. -_- . Thank Leonard they let us kick back in the classrooms with the computers with internet.
I wanted a challenge and man, I’ve got one. Any other D.O.L. programmer’s out there? I’m learning C#. I’m hanging in there ok because so far, it seems very similar to C++.
Cool stuff. All though the drive is a bitch, I’m very much enjoying the classes.

At least 4 of my friends started laughing when i walked up to them at school and asked why they were talking about and they said that commerical when PC got mac the C++ gooy gooy manual and i asked whats so funny and they replied theres no such thing as C++ , i stoped and started laughing my head off for a completely differnt reason if you know what i mean.
sorry but i dont know diddly when it comes to that stuff, going for history teacher here so i stay away from comps and dive into a big book which makes no sense since i dispise reading in general when i dont have to. i hope to be like my HS history teacher and be fun so they want to actually come to my class and learn, i already plan on useing the Rome games for visuals on how the battles went, so i have that to make them pay attention since its not a book and you get to watch armys destroy each other ^_^
Well, the threads were finally locked. I requested them locked. Seems we weren’t going to get anywhere on those debates as long as CavScout was only interested in exchanging insults. It’s a shame, really, as they were good debates. But as they say…one rotten apple…
