To make this a fair fight, they will both have access to the same weapons.  They’re locked inside the building from the movie Die Hard, and there are various weapons located on each floor.  First to find and kill the other, wins!!!

However, I would have to give this fight to Sara Conner. She was trained by guerrila fighters for years, so she knows how to fight dirty. Ripley was given a crash course in millitary weapons and tactics. So I don’t think that Ripley could compete with Sara, unless she caught Sara by surprise.

Sarah Connor spends as much time whining as fighting. Ellen Ripley virtually wiped out the most ferocious killer in the universe. Not much of a competition, really.

Heck, I think Ripley could take John McClane, too, but that’s another story for another time ...

True, but in the same way that Ellen used a powersuit and her ship’s engines to kill the Xeno, Sarah used a hydrolic press and a vat of molten steel to destroy terminators.

R we also talking about Ripley from Ressurection? She is VERY different from her previous incarnation. She is MUCH stronger and more agile.

So it’s Ripley vs Sara eh?

I would have to weigh some things first.

1st Encounters:

When Sara first took on a T-800, she had NO type of training whatsoever except by Reese. And all fans know that Reese really trained in baby making rather than fighting. And yet, the little girl beat the big bad T-800 using the hydraulic press.

Now, when Ripley first faced the Xeno she was alread someone trained in some type of combat. Her rank was indicative of that. She was able to use what few weapons she had and put a hook into the Xeno and then jettisoned it.

2nd Encounters:

Sara took more than a few years honing her fighting skills. Learning all sorts of weapons and combat techniques.

Ripley was in stasis for 57 years. And got some pretty basic training.

Overall, I’d give it to Sara.

The training gives her the edge.  They both have the will to do what’s needed to survive, but Sarah’s more callous and focused on agressive aspects.

She had more training in T2 than Ripley did in Aliens.

I assume we’re talking about their characters in T2 and Aliens right?

Ripley was basically fighting not from training but from the will to protect Newt. tHe whole “motherly instinct” thing.
“THe most ferocious lion is a female protecting her cub”- something from national geo.

Take that away and she wont have much training to fight with.

Anyone who can face an unfathomable future, and work a pump shotgun (solid shot) with just one good arm has got to get some points!
