Hi all, I’ve been using just the beginner “oatmeal container” style camera, and I’d like to make a more sophisticated one as a woodworking project.
I’ve measured my pinhole at 0.2 mm, and from the “mrpinhole” website it says that an optimal focal length would be 22.5 mm, but it also says that this wouldn’t cover a full 4x5 sheet.
The “RealitySoSubtle” 4x5 camera says it has a 0.2 mm pinhole with a 30mm focal distance, and while I don’t have one, I get the sense that it covers the whole film.
Also, if you input 4x5 as the dimensions to mrpinhole, it recommend a 0.5 mm pinhole and a 163 mm focal length! So then I’m all confused.
One final question, if I don’t want to use a film holder in my camera, mostly due to cost, is it possible to hold the film in place with just a bit of double sided tape on the back of the box? Thanks all, love the community. https://cnv.to/
