The Robotech Convention Tour makes its first stop ever in West Palm Beach, Florida at Chibi-Pa, a South Florida anime convention. Chibi-Pa has invited Robotech directors Carl Macek and Tommy Yune for a weekend full of panels discussing the past, present and future of Robotech.
Chibi-Pa will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in West Palm Beach, FL on Oct. 19 – 21st. and has secured special hotel room rates for attendees.
CONVENTION LOCATION / ROOM RATES
Chibi-Pa will be held at the following location.
Crowne Plaza West Palm Beach
1601 Belvedere Road
West Palm Beach, FL 33406
http://www.cpwestpalmbeach.com/
The convention has negotiated these special room rates for attendees.
Rates
• 1-2 people for a Double Queen room $104 per night
• 3-4 people for a Double Queen Room $114 per night
• A Queen suite has 2 Queen beds and a pullout couch (sleeps about 6 people) and is only $119 a night
As of yet we do not have a web code for reservations but you may call them directly at 1(561)689-6400 to make a reservation. Tell them your with Chibi-Pa to receive the rate above.
All rooms require a chaperone (someone over 18) and will require a signature on a piece of paper to this affect. Rooms can be reserved with a Major credit card or a cash deposit of 1 night's stay.
Remember you get a free Admission for every night you have a room. Therefore if 6 people get a suite for Thursday-Saturday 3 people will not have to get Admissions. That's like splitting the admission price in half. Thats not too bad you know. But remember there are only 36 suites and half of those are a single bed with a king bed in it.
All rooms have a mini fridge and microwave.
PRE-REGISTRATION INFORMATION
The convention strongly recommends anyone attending Chibi-Pa this year to Pre-register. Pre-registering prior to September 19th 2007 will give you a discount. Also everyone who pre-registers will be entered to win either a Sony Playstation 3 or Brand New Laptop
The Pre-registration price is $20.00 for the entire weekend. Cut off for pre-registering is September 19th, 2007.
You can pre-register through EventBrite via the following link.
http://www.eventbrite.com/event/54295399
For more information, please visit:
http://www.chibipa.com
I’d like to thank Chibi-Pa representative Jason Bailey for all the work he has done to make this happen.

For once, I'm glad I had to move to Miami. Didn't think you'd guys make it to MegaCon over in Orlando, and lo and behold they're making a stop just an hour away. And on Saturday no less! Alot of times, the fun stuff of conventions are held on Sundays, but that's God's day
So yeah, I drive a Kawasaki Ninja 250, and if anyone with the know-how wants to help me convert it into a Cyclone, that would be amazing. If I knew about this a year ago, I would have already set out to make a whole uniform and stuff to make my bike look like a Cyclone(minus the transformation, rocket launchers, etc).

one of these days we'll get to the quality point of those features that one can edit out the noise without that metallicness. But it still was of good quality.

Just wondering how the Robotech DVD sales are going for the standard release? I never hear about DVD sales really except for big studio movies like Transformers and Spider-man 3. Would be since seeing a figure on the main home page seeing that so we all can be proud.

I finally bought Robotech Art 3 in a local book shop. What I did like about the Macek era was how the character dialog went, and in Shadow Chronicles it lacked that missing condiment in order to feel like the "old days."
HG has a long way to rebuild momentum in an era that demands good story lines. I hope the sequel produces a more vibrant feel that will have a new audience craving more.
